INFASTECH dates back to 1964 when it was known as Avdel Pty Ltd. The company operated successfully for more than three decades until 1996 when it was acquired by Textron Inc, a USA-based fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Over the ensuring years the company changed ownership several times, becoming a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker in 2013. In 2017 the company was purchased by the Managing Director of Stanley Engineered Fastening Glenn Heffernan and became Infastech Engineered Fastening.
